Trustee’s Duties
Emergency Assistance
The Trustee is charged with providing temporary emergency assistance to Liberty Township residents who are experiencing an unforeseen hardship. The Trustee helps with basic necessities such as rent, utilities, food, and some medical care.
Fire Protection
It is the Trustee’s responsibility to provide fire protection for the Township. The Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department is contracted to provide fire service for Liberty Township.
Cemetery Maintenance
The Trustee is responsible for maintaining abandoned cemeteries located within the Township. Dillingham Cemetery and Gossett Cemetery are both under the care of the Trustee.
